Malekshāhi county located on Center of the province neighboring Mehrān, llam, Badré and Dehlorān counties. Arkawāz city is its capital and divided into two districts: Markazi (Central) and Gachi.

Pir—Mohammad RiverThis 6-kilometers river is the result of joining two another rivers: Go-Gol and Pāleshkāb and makes a relatively high Waterfall in its path and finally thrown into the gozāré river for Creating the Gāwi river.
